Back to Tower Ridge today with long time client Alan. It was cloudier but not too cold. We didn't need crampons for the reduced snow patch in the gully between the Douglas Boulder and the start of the Ridge- an axe was handy though. From there the route was in dry summer condition with the odd inconsequential snow patch until we squeezed through the jammed block cave after the Eastern Traverse. 2 days have reduced the final ice patch a little and this time cutting 2 steps allowed me to reach rock and carry on without crampons.

Kami tidak membutuhkan crampon untuk hamparan salju yang berkurang di celah antara Douglas Boulder dan awal dari Ridge - namun kapak berguna. Dari sana, rutenya berada dalam kondisi musim panas yang kering dengan hamparan salju yang tidak penting sampai kami melewati gua blok yang macet setelah Lintasan Timur. 2 hari telah mengurangi sedikit tambalan es terakhir dan kali ini memotong 2 langkah memungkinkan saya mencapai batu dan melanjutkan tanpa crampon.
