Brrrrrrrr

Another bitterly cold day today in Lochaber. I was again working with Bill and Gill for West Highland College. Today we were running a Navigation Assessment for First Year Students. Low lying there was a lot of surface hoar caused by the prolonged still weather and low temperatures we have had. Unlike last year when this was also present on the hills I saw no evidence of this in Coire na Ciste yesterday owing to the high winds up there. Nonetheless with fresh snow and moderate winds forecast for tomorrow care will be needed when it comes to assessing safe travel and avoiding avalanches.
Andy texted me about the fun day he had on Lumberjack Falls today- check his blog for details.
