Winter Skills Day 2

A change today. Gales overnight continuing into today and ran this morning. Derek and I took or Intro. Winter Skills teams up into Coire Lochain to see how far we could get, give them an idea of how operating in bad weather feels and to teach some navigation skills. At about 900m with it alternating between hail and rain at lunchtime we'd had enough and beat a retreat to Glenmore Lodge to work on the compass course looking at following bearings in poor visibility and map orientation skills. More 'interesting' weather due tomorrow. In Sneachda later on it was more sheltered and a team completed Patey's Route. Snowing at Glenmore tonight.
