Day 1 of an Intro to winter lead climbing at Glenmore Lodge and I took my team to Coire an Lochain today. We felt slightly upstaged by Greg Boswell and his film crew but battled our way up the mighty Couloir via a few icey steps of II at the base. My 2 ladies did well though swapping leads on the last 3 pitches on steep firm neve- well done on their first Scottish winter leads! It was sunny most of the day without much wind and it was nice to be out with a dusting of snow around to make it at least look a little wintery. Its was quite inspiring to see Greg in total control on some steep ground as we topped out.
