Aaah, spring on Skye! I joined Kevin for some Skye mountaineering at the weekend. Saturday dawned with gales, hail and snow. We went out anyway and climbed a very snowy Sgurr nan Gillean and then headed on over Am Bhasteir and Bruach na Frithe. There was 2 or 3 inches of fresh wet hail on ever ledge making the scrambling quite sporting, if a little time consuming. We had a spot or 2 of sunshine but also some really heavy hails showers and snow storms to finish the day. We bumped into a few other hardy souls out on Bruach na Frithe and a team reported slow going on Pinnacle Ridge. Despite the weather Kevin ticked 3 more munros in style!
