A quick family holiday in Mallorca

It was a great week with the family and a bunch of like minded friends and their offspring. Kaye didn't want to get out of the sea, Sandy learnt to snorkel, I used muscles I've never felt before on the road bike (highlight the Port de Pollenca to Sa Calobra ride... up over a couple of smaller cols to 680m then down in a flash via 20 hairpins back to sea level over (and under) taking coaches all the way- thumbs up to the helpful Thomas Cook drivers, raspberry to anyone driving a German coach refusing to let us by), the kids swarmed like goblins from the Hobbit up the Torrente de Pareis gorge, much good food was eaten, Sandy did more climbing than me, I did a few laps of various bays in the water and sun was felt on the body. Home now to a frantically busy autumn!
