Quality Assurance

Today I was out observing another Glenmore Lodge Instructor as part of the Centre's Quality Assurance process. Staff regularly go out and observe each other (which often turns into co-operative teaching of sessions) to ensure we stay up to date with what each of us is doing, how we can coach individual skills and share ideas and information. It also lets us get constructive feedback from our peers.
I was out observing Matt on a mountaineering course and we headed up a windy Cas Ridge to .1141 with views through heavy blown snow to a well buried Coire an t Sneachda. We headed on to a spot height above the Loch Avon basin, looked at bucket seats and buried axes before heading over Cairngorm.
Climbing parties found good conditions on Stag Rocks today.
