Slippy schist, Highland Snow, fireworks

A cold and frosty Lochaber morning and a little snow on the tops. Max and I took a group East to Kingussie to get them leading. The schist was damp but my team of 4 each managed to lead a route nonetheless. I was always looking over to the hills where snow peaked through the clouds and the first routes of the season were being done on the Mess of Pottage. The climbers on these routes were very experienced- have a care the Northern Coires are loose at the best of times and will not be frozen together yet.
Back home to a bonfire int he garden and sparklers and fireworks for the family. Away for a couple of days exped tomorrow- looks wild!
